What are Air Fryers?
Air fryers were introduced back in 2010 by Phillips and marketed as a healthy alternative to deep fat fryers with claims that they used up to 80% less fat to cook your food. However, the rise of TikTok really saw a surge in their popularity. TikTok videos with the tag #airfryer have amassed more than 1.6bn views!
Some users are opting to use their air fryers to show healthy recipes on Tik Tok, while others go the other way and show how to cook pizza and doughnuts. All are essentially experimenting and having fun with the latest gadget and - dare we say it - new toy.
